The man who sold some gold bullion and opened a school

In my town there is a small public primary school. The atmosphere is very friendly and the teachers have a lot to offer to their students. This school was opened seventy years ago by a famous investor. This man was actually a doctor who had earned some money in Africa. He had worked there for several years and became really famous. At that time, he opened two hospitals and helped to create a couple of small schools in one of the poorest areas. Then he returned to the UK and invested his money in gold bullion. After a couple of years, when gold became more expensive, he sold the bullion to a Polish investor. His wife was a teacher who had always dreamed of opening her own school, so he made her dream come true. Now, after seventy years, the school is one of the best in the area and even people from distant towns send their children here. The school teaches three languages: French, German and Spanish. Various extra-curricular classes are available; swimming, taekwondo, gymnastics, music, origami, painting and chess are just a few examples. Students go on a trip once a month. Sometimes it"s just cinema or a local museum, but they often travel abroad as well. Last year, they went to Paris for an international music competition. If it hadn"t been for that man who sold his gold bullion to open a school, I would have no idea where to send my kids today.
